We are thrilled to offer teen mental health groups as part of our services at Onward Wellness. These groups provide a supportive environment where teens can connect with peers facing similar challenges, share experiences, and learn new skills. Group therapy can be incredibly beneficial, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support. We prioritize the importance of a judgement free environment, where teens can be their unique selves while realizing they are not alone.
At Onward Wellness, we offer a variety of teen mental health groups that cover a wide range of topics including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, social pressures, exam preparation, and communication skills.

Are you or were you a frontline worker managing the effects of operational stress? One of our cornerstone offerings at Onward Wellness is the Before Operational Stress (BOS) program. We are proud to be a regional provider for this esteemed program, which is in partnership with Wounded Warriors Canada.
BOS is an 8-module, evidence-informed initiative specifically designed for public safety personnel, first responders, and frontline health services workers. Developed by leading mental health experts and psychologists, BOS aims to equip participants with practical tools to understand and manage the effects of operational stress.

Have you been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but you’re not really sure how to navigate it? Although a diagnosis can provide you with some beneficial information, knowing how to proceed with effectively managing neurodivergence can be challenging. At Onward Wellness we are proud to offer specialized education and support sessions designed to help individuals with ADHD.
These workshops are intended to help individuals feel supported, build a community of people with shared experiences, increase awareness, better understand and manage their symptoms, and learn practical strategies. We are focused on the most recent and relevant research, and share effective strategies based on our experience and what the experts recommend.

Mental health workshops are structured interactive sessions designed to help educate participants about various mental health topics, enhance understanding, and provide practical tools for improving mental health. Workshops can increase awareness, help reduce the stigma about mental health, and promote a better understanding of mental illness. By identifying early signs of mental illness, timely intervention and support can help foster more effective recovery and resilience. Workshops are also an opportunity to learn practical skills to help manage a variety of different mental health challenges.
At Onward Wellness, we offer a variety of workshops that can be tailored specifically to the needs of your group or organization. Different areas we have presented on in the past include: understanding the difference between mental health symptoms and mental health illness, building resilience and post adversity growth, exploring the different layers of stigma, exploring the effects of operational stress, improving communication, supporting individuals in a successful return to work, and building better team dynamics.

We follow the guidance of the Psychological Association of Alberta (PAA), and the current recommended fees are $235.00/hour. Please note, many of our services are covered by health care benefits or other third-party coverage. From time to time, and as part of giving back to our community, we also offer probono services.
